A three-axis stand was designed on the basis of three PM-57-165-GM brushless drives consisting of the PM-57 permanent magnet synchronous motors with 10-bit magnetic encoders, double planetary gear reducers with the 1=16 gear ratio and a control module based on the DSP-processor. The stand is intended for field researches of underwater welding technology.  

 The cases of 3 brushless gear motors and a three-axis control module are made of stainless steel. To make the cases waterproof they were filled with kerosene.

The three-axis electric drive is developed on request of The E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute (Kiev)

The stand enables welding according to the contour preset by productivity software that controls the electric drives operation and welding cycles implementation. The connection of PC and the control module is performed through the RS-422protocol.
